Over the last few months, we've been looking at the cheapest houses in the Quad Cities. There appeared to be a battle over which house could be the cheapest. We will call the two houses in this battle "house number 1" and "house number 2." You can read about both of them here.

Both houses found themselves competing to be the cheapest and even dropped prices over the last month. These prices were almost nothing. Finally one of these houses sold. It was house number 2.

With that one sold, a new house has shown up for a meager amount, but house number one is determined to still be the cheapest and needs someone to buy it. Today we are going to see just how cheap it is willing to go.

The House That Sold

First, let's see the house that sold, and how much it went for. That way you can try to guess how cheap the cheapest house is after seeing this price.

The house is located at 1510 W 3RD Street, Davenport, IA 52804. It only had one photo, but still managed to sell after a couple of weeks up.

On May 24th this house sold for $10,000. It's not small either, it's 2 bedrooms 1 bath. Coming in at 1,242 Square Feet. Odds are it's a MAJOR fixer-upper, but someone is willing to fix it up since it sold. How much do you think the cheapest house in the QC is?

The Cheapest House

Like the other house, this spot didn't have a lot of photos...only two photos give us a glimpse into this house. It's also a 2 bedroom, 1-bath and comes in at 1,200 square feet. Originally it was for sale at $11,900 until house number 2 came in at $10k beating it out as the cheaper house.

This house has since dropped its price for... drum roll please... $9,900! That's right; you can get this house for less than $10k now.

Just a quick warning though, if it wasn't obvious, but this house was built in 1915 and will need A LOT of work. On  Zillow, the description says this is a great investment opportunity.

This 2 bedroom, 1 bath home in East Moline is a great investment opportunity. Hammer, nails, paint and elbow grease are highly encouraged. Close to a local park and creek. This is a great opportunity to purchase a hidden gem.

So hey if you want to start flipping houses, this might be the perfect start.

The New House

Enter house number 3. At the time of writing this, it's not the cheapest house, but it is the second cheapest house and it's not too far off from the house above (house number 1) It is currently marked at $11,500.

It's very similar to the other two houses with 2 bedrooms, 1 bath. It's 1,260 Sqft. Unlike the others though. This one actually shows you the inside.

I can only guess that this is what the other homes looked like on the inside seeing as though the pricing and sizes are so similar, but hey who knows.
