A Davenport woman got a pretty chunk of change after buying a lottery scratch-off ticket, making her the 2nd QCA lottery winner in less than a week.

Is something in the water in the QC? Now might be the time to go get a lottery ticket!

Jean Miller won $50,000 from the lottery's "Power Shot" scratch game. She got the winning ticket at Kwik Star at 13888 118th Ave and claimed her prize yesterday at the Cedar Rapids regional office.

Now might be the time to go get some lottery tickets, guys.

"Power Shot" is a $5 scratch-off game ($50,000 from a $5 scratch-off. We should all be so lucky) that has eight top prizes of $50,000 and carries 1 in 3.45 odds, according to the Iowa Lottery.

Jean's win marks the fifth top prize in the "Power Shot" game.

QCA Lottery Wins: June

We're apparently on a lucky streak here in the Quad Cities this summer.

Just yesterday, we told you about a man in Eldridge who won $100,000 on a scratch-off ticket when he was on a road trip with his dad.

Earlier this month, Davenport had not one but two lottery winners. Christine Sanders won $50,000 (she got her ticket at Express Lane Gas & Food Mart on North Harrison) and Mason Brower won $30,000 (he got his ticket at W Mart on East Locust).

For more information about lottery games, including "Power Shot", and the number of prizes that are still available in the games, Iowa Lottery's website.

Now please excuse me while I go get a bundle of scratch-offs.
