The days of people yelling they "need" or "have" tickets outside a show are mostly a thing of the past. Because now the scams are online before people even get to the show.

There are many third-party sites designed to fool people into believing they are authentic, and tickets purchased from these sites may be invalid, cost more than the tickets are, or the tickets may not even be sent to you. Don’t be fooled by these fakes!

The FBI estimates that consumers lose $2.3 million each year.    The Better Business Bureau has a page dedicated to checking sellers at BBB.org.

There are two big ways scammers get you.  The first is a look-alike website.  It will look like the venue or the ticket service, but it is fake.  These types of scams will take all your money and information and never give you the tickets or give you tickets that won't work at the venue.

The second scam is that you might actually get legit tickets.  But, they sell them for way more than the retail price.  While this isn't illegal, it is still a scam to get you to pay double or more the price cause you went to the wrong website.

I've had people reach out to me saying, "I can't believe the price of ___ in concert!"  And then I send the real link, which has the tickets for way less.

The Adler Theatre in Davenport recently sent out an email to remind people that the best way to get tickets for shows at the Adler is through the Adler website, which is www.davenportlive.com.  You can also skip the online buying altogether and buy tickets in person at the Adler Theatre Box Office, open Monday-Friday from 10 AM until 5 PM and two hours prior to showtime for weekend performances.

The other concert venues in the Quad Cities also have direct links that will get you the right ticket at the right price.

And if in doubt, we've got you covered.  The links we post at 97X, B100, I-Rock 93.5, and US 104.9 will always have direct links to that exact show.  That will always be your best and safest way to enjoy any show we are bringing to town.

Enjoy the show, and we'll see you there.
