I am not a fan of working for my food. Crab, lobster, ribs, if I have to put in too much effort, I’m out. However, this BBQ joint in Illinois might change my mind because it was just named one of the best places for ribs in the entire state.

There are amazing BBQ restaurants all over Illinois, and while many claim to have the best ribs,  Love Food says there’s only one true winner:  Lem’s BBQ in Chicago.

Why Lem’s BBQ Stands Out in Illinois

So what makes Lem’s stand out among the rest? Brothers Bruce and Myles Lem brought their famous rib tips to the Windy City with bold flavors and a homemade, peppery brick-red sauce. The BBQ joint is so popular that on summer days, you’ll often see a line out the door and wrapped around the corner with people waiting to get their hands on that delicious BBQ.

And while I may not be a huge fan of ribs myself, I can think of a few amazing spots here in the Tri-States that might want to challenge Lem’s for the title of who really has the best. I’d also love to see Lem’s go head-to-head with a Kansas City BBQ restaurant to find out who truly comes out on top.

No matter where you go, good BBQ comes from talented chefs who know what they’re doing. And even though you might have to work a little for those rib tips, I can only imagine that the flavor makes it more than worth it.
