There's always a lot going on in our lives, and sometimes we miss important details like product recalls.

While we often see food recalls, product recalls involving products we don't consume are important to pay attention to as well.

This recall is important because there is a chance your children could be using the item in question.

Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the clips, keep them away from children.

The painted clips, which you can view here, contain levels of lead that are over levels allowed by the federal lead paint ban.

The recalled clips were sold only on Amazon between April 2024 through September 2024 for around $10.

What to Do if You Purchased the Hair Clips

You should immediately stop using the clips and contact YFLGOTOO, the manufacturer.

Amazon is also contacting all known purchasers directly.

The recall, issued May 1, includes packaging labeled:

  • FNSKU
  • X00RCTBRH
  • Made in China

Consumers will need to provide a picture of the disposal of the hair clips to receive a refund.

Fortunately, there have been no health issues related to the recalled product at this time.
