The Indiana Fever closed out the home portion of their WNBA schedule on Sunday. Caitlin Clark made sure that the fans went home happy.

Before we get to the superlatives, let's just stick with the stats. Clark scored a career-high 35 points to lead the Fever to a 110-109 win over Dallas. The win helped the Fever secure the #6 seed in the WNBA playoffs. With a record of 20-19, they wrap up the regular season Thursday at Washington according to ESPN. The Fever have beat every team in the WNBA except for one this season. The two-time defending champion Las Vegas Aces.

With her 35 points, Clark set the WNBA record for most points scored during a rookie season, breaking the previous record held by Seimone Augustus of Minnesota. Clark still has one more game to add to her total.

And in case you're curious as to which rookie in the WNBA has had the highest point totals in a game this season? There is only one answer. Caitlin Clark.

Clark also holds the all-time rookie ranks for most assists and most three-point shots made. She has already broken the WNBA record for most assists in a season and leads the league in assists per game. However, perhaps the most striking stat for Clark and the Fever this season was revealed during the broadcast yesterday afternoon. The Indiana Fever led the WNBA in attendance this year with over 605,000 fans attending Fever home games. The next closest team, the New York Liberty, is just over 400,000.

It has been an up-and-down ride for Clark and the Fever this season. But the playoffs are just around the corner. Would you want to face this team in the first round?
