Iowa Football Lands Top Offensive Lineman Recruit
Is it possible for a football team to be on a winning streak in the off-season? The Iowa Hawkeye football team seems to be on one when it comes to the recruiting trail.
Sports Illustrated reports that the Iowa Hawkeyes just landed a four-star offensive lineman recruit for the class of 2026. That player is Hudson Parliament, who announced his commitment to the Hawkeyes on social media.
SI reports that Parliament is currently the #1 ranked high school player in South Dakota. He chose Iowa over schools including Nebraska, Minnesota, and Iowa State. At 6'4", he played on both sides of the football last year as an interior offensive and defensive lineman. SI reports that he ended his junior year with 97 pancakes and 22 tackles on defense.
SI reports that with Parliament's commitment, Ferentz is now up to six recruits for the 2026 class. He joins two other four-star recruits, offensive lineman Carson Nielsen and athlete Marcello Vitti. Iowa is still in the hunt for more offensive playmakers. SI reports that the Hawkeyes are still after four-star running back DeZephen Walker and three-star wide receiver Amarion Jackson.
