Eastern Iowa Farmers’ Market Getting In The Spooky Spirit
It's not too early to plan your Halloween shenanigans.
We're about a week away from the end of September, which means spooky season is here. There are all kinds of events going on in the QCA and an October favorite is making a return to Davenport.
The Freight House Farmers' Market will be transformed on Friday, October 11th & Saturday, October 12th into the Fright House After Dark.
The event is family-friendly and will feature:
- Face painting with The Painted Cupcake
- Balloon twisting with Twisted Bo-Kay
- Absolute Science
- Caricatures with Leo Kelly
- Kevin Walker playing music
Friday night, there will be a photo booth with The Snap Wagon. And of course, there will be plenty of food vendors set up too. The event is from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. both days. You can get more details about Fright House After Dark on the city's website.
Another Spooky Season Shenanigan
There's another classic QC October happening that's coming back for another year. For the adults, tickets are available now for our Halloween Ball on October 26th at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds.
There will be free food from Smokin' Butt BBQ from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., live music from Fair Warning and Dirt Road Rockers, and $2000 total in costume prizes! It's a blast so get your tickets now.
Meanwhile, the not-spooky Freight House Farmers' Market will remain open through October 27th for the season. After we're all done haunting and loaded up on candy, they will also host a Fall Harvest Festival in early November.
