Dave’s Hot Chicken Is Opening In Iowa Soon, What You Need To Know
It's no secret that residents in Eastern Iowa are ready for Nashville Hot Chicken. When news broke back in March that the rapidly growing fast-casual chain Dave's Hot Chicken was opening locations in Davenport, Cedar Rapids, and Coralville people were pumped.
The first Dave's Hot Chicken location in Iowa is opening very soon. Davenport will be able to lay claim as the first city in the Hawkeye State to have a Dave's Hot Chicken because that location is opening very soon.
A billboard spotted in Moline on John Deere Road in Moline really got people excited recently about Dave's Hot Chicken opening soon in Davenport.
An article by the Quad-City Times with the photo of that billboard gave us the official opening date of Davenport's and Iowa's first-ever Dave's Hot Chicken location. The newest restaurant in Davenport will officially open on Friday, November 8th, and will be located in the former PepperJax Grill location at 3022 E 53rd St. Dave's will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The Quad-City Times reports that the father-son duo of Kegan and Bart Coon are the two behind the expansion of Dave's Hot Chicken into Iowa. They are Iowa residents who are also credited for bringing three Crumbl Cookies locations to the Des Moines area, according to the Cedar Rapids Gazette.
Besides the Davenport location, there will be a Dave's Hot Chicken location opening in Cedar Rapids, down I-380 in Coralville, and two in the capital of Iowa, Des Moines. The Gazette spoke to a Dave's representative who said, "openings across all target Iowa markets could take three to four years."
For now, we're counting down the days until Dave's Hot Chicken has its first official home in Iowa. Davenport, get ready for chicken that has a spicy level named "Reaper."
