Iowa has one of the highest rates of new cancer diagnoses in the United States, with an estimated 21,200 new cases expected in 2025.

Everyone has been affected by cancer.  Either in their family, among friends, at work, or within themselves.   The disease is a drain not only on the patient, but also on the family, and on the bank account.  This is why, when one of our community members is diagnosed, the community comes together to support them.

On behalf of the family of Donovan Almanza you are invited to a fundraiser to help him and his family in his fight against a rare and aggressive form of bladder cancer—Adenocarcinoma.

At just 24 years old, Donovan has been a bright light. He’s a devoted uncle, a constant source of laughter, and someone whose spirit remains strong even in the face of this devastating diagnosis. His journey has included long trips to Iowa City, intensive treatments, and costly medical supplies—challenges that have placed a significant financial burden on our family.

To support Donovan’s ongoing care and ease some of these expenses, the family is hosting a fundraising event:

The community's generosity and support, no matter the size, will make a tangible difference in Donovan's fight. Every contribution helps ensure he receives the care he needs to continue his battle against cancer bravely.

The family of Donovan thanks you for your kindness and support during this critical time.
