Sam Hunt Braves Huge Concert Crowd At Eastern Iowa Fair

The first official day of the 2023 Mississippi Valley Fair is in the book and oh my goodness was it a good one. Tuesday night's grandstand act, Sam Hunt, had a full crowd in the palm of his hands, people were enjoying the fair food, their fair favorites, and a lot of the new stuff the fair has to offer this year.

If you've been to any of the past Mississippi Valley Fairs, you've rarely seen grandstand acts go into the crowd besides maybe down in the front row. Flo Rida went all over the place towards the end of his set in 2022, but Sam Hunt actually had a small stage waiting for him.

Sam Hunt puts on one heck of a show and apparently has enough *manhood* to brave the packed crowd on the track. Needless to say, it's only going to get crazier from here.

First 2024 Mississippi Valley Fair Grandstand Act Announced

Before Sam Hunt even took the grandstand stage, Mississippi Valley Fair General Manager Shawn Loter had an announcement for Tuesday night's crowd. Shawn revealed the first grandstand act for MVF 2024.

Thomas Rhett is the first grandstand act announced for MVF 2024 and it sounds like he'll be the first person we'll be watching to kick off next year's fair.

Sam Hunt Heads Into The Mississippi Valley Fair Crowd

When Sam Hunt took the grandstand stage, it was a party. Sam performed all of the hits you know that he sings and some of the songs you know that he wrote. He played 'Body Like A Back Road', 'Hard To Forget', 'House Party', and so many more.

Two other exciting moments came when Sam when down into the crowd. Yes, he did this twice.

It was hard to get a good picture of him from all the way in the grandstands, but he's in that spotlight somewhere.

The second time he braved the Mississippi Valley Fair crowd was to go and perform a couple of songs on a stage already set up for him.

While on the smaller stage in the back, Sam performed his hit 'Take Your Time' and the song that climbed to #8 on the charts for Keith Urban, 'Cop Car'. Before performing 'Cop Car', Sam told the crowd that it's his most honest song and that he actually took a girl on a date by sneaking into an airport in Birmingham, Alabama to sit at the end of the runway and watch the planes take off.

Sam said it was great until the cops showed up. He said it was a great story and a few years later, it turned into a great song. He also admitted that the woman that got arrested with him is now his wife, Hannah Lee Fowler.
