Don't be alarmed if you hear rumbles of thunder on Tuesday. There is an enhanced risk of severe storms to move from Iowa into Illinois Tuesday afternoon bringing with it strong winds, hail, and maybe even some tornadoes.

It's not a huge surprise that we're seeing this kind of weather since we are in severe storm season. As we continue to be on the lookout for severe weather, it's always a good reminder to be weather-prepared before it's too late. You don't need to panic and run straight to the grocery store, but make sure you're starting to get batteries charged or replaced and other items in your safety kit stocked up.
