We're in the thick of football season and if you're an Iowa fan, you know where the best place to tailgate is on college football Saturdays.

For those are football fans of any team have a bucket list of places to visit. As a Packers fan, I've wanted to go to Lambeau Field all of my life earlier in November, I was there for the third time. It's magical every time.

Going to an NFL game should be on every football fan's bucket list but attending college football games and tailgates should also be on there too. A new study revealed that football fans need to - and most do - have attending an Iowa Hawkeyes tailgate in Iowa City on their bucket list and as a top item.

This new study from livesportsontv.com revealed the top 100 bucket list tailgate and gameday experiences football fans want to do. They did an online survey of 3,000 people to figure out which tailgates are the best.

The top 5 tailgating and gameday experiences include:

  2. Texas Longhorns
  3. San Francisco 49ers
  4. New England Patriots
  5. Houston Texans

At #75 is the Iowa Hawkeyes. Livesportsontv.com had this to say about why the Iowa Hawkeyes made the list:

"Kinnick Stadium is electric with fans performing the “Hawkeye Wave” tradition to the children’s hospital and chanting “Go Hawks.” Tailgating includes Iowa favorites like pork tenderloins, brats, and sweet corn, creating a tight-knit game day community."
