Davenport Elementary Teacher Awarded For Team Leadership, Problem Solving Skills
Before Thanksgiving break gets here, we have one more surprise with Ultimate Chocolates to highlight and reward a deserving Quad Cities teacher.
It's now time to announce this week's B100 & Ultimate Chocolate's QC Teacher of the Week!
Congrats to Allison Harkey, 2nd-grade teacher at Jefferson Elementary in Davenport!
Ms. Harkey was nominated by her coworker Kim, who said in her nomination:
Allison Harkey is one of our 2nd grade teachers at Jefferson Elementary, within the Davenport Community School District. I feel she should win Teacher of the Week because she always goes above and beyond to provide her students the best school experience possible. Her students are always working hard to reach new goals and earn fun incentives. In addition to being one of the best teachers I've ever worked with in my 15 years of education, she is a team leader. Ms. Harkey always has an open door for students and teachers to get whatever support they may need while still managing and teaching her own classroom full of students. She is a problem solver and always keeps the kids' best interest at heart. Anyone that knows Ms. Harkey would agree that she was born to teach and leaves a positive impact on anyone she interacts with!
Awesome job, Ms. Harkey!
For being our QC Teacher of the Week, Ms. Harkey has been rewarded with a B100 Prize Pack, including stickers, a shirt, and more, plus chocolate goodies from Ultimate Chocolates in Bettendorf!
Thank you for your hard work and dedication, Ms. Harkey!
