You Can Tip A Davenport Police Officer For A Great Cause
Police officers normally serve our community in a totally different way than police in Davenport will this week. Normally, they are making sure our city and neighbors are safe and following the law.
This Thursday, the Davenport Police will be serving food like a server at a restaurant. And just like you would for your normal server, you should be tipping these officers bringing you your food. The difference is that the officers won't be keeping the money because it's going to a great cause.
Make sure you get to this popular Quad Cities restaurant on Thursday as early as you can. The Davenport Police Department's annual Tip-A-Cop returns to Texas Roadhouse.
Tip-A-Cop With Davenport Police
Coming up this week on Thursday, April 4, 2024, officers with the Davenport Police Department will be bringing food to your table at Texas Roadhouse (4005 E 53rd St.) in Davenport for a few hours.
The Davenpot Police Department's annual Tip-A-Cop event is from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday. According to the social media post announcing the event, officials say that local law enforcement and Special Olympics Iowa athletes, staff, coaches, and volunteers will be spreading awareness of and collecting donations for Special Olympics programs.
For those not able to join the Davenport Police on Thursday can stop at any of the 11 Texas Roadhouse locations in Iowa at the other Tip-A-Cop Events.
If you simply can't make it but still want to make a donation to Special Olympics to support their programs, you can do so at SOIowa.org.
