The Drunk Adventure

Naples police have arrested a 36-year-old man who broke into their headquarters on Saturday night.

Joseph Moulton reportedly climbed a fence, found an unlocked car, and proceeded to hide behind some bushes before entering the building.

He then took a shower, changed into a police uniform, stole a $1,000 radio, and went to the women’s bathroom to, uh, leave a surprise...

Undetected

Surprisingly, Moulton managed to do all of this without detection, that is, until he walked into a nearby 7-Eleven while wearing a police jacket. Someone there tipped off the police, but Moulton left the gas station.

The most impressive part? He left his wallet and ID behind in the car.

Finding Moulton

He was gone by the time police got there, but they found him a few hours later.  He was shirtless at that point, so he apparently ditched the police uniform.

He tried to hide in some bushes again, but they got him in custody.  It turned out he was so drunk,  he didn't remember doing any of it.

When asked what inspired him to break into the police station, Moulton’s only comment was “Uh, don’t do drugs.”

He's facing charges of burglary and grand theft.

Hopefully, the rest of us can learn something from his story - namely, never drink and trespass at the same time.
