As the Stanley Cup heads into game three tonight, Quad City hockey fans should be keeping an eye on one of the Golden Knights.

Keegan Kolesar, sporting the number 55 on his Vegas jersey, is a Right Winger who joined the Golden Knights roster for the 2020-2021 season, where he played 44 games. Prior to the Knights, Kolesar played for the Chicago Wolves AHL team, but prior to that, he spent time in the Quad Cities.

At 21-years-old, Kolesar joined the Quad City Mallards roster for 20 games through the 2017-2018 season. In that time he scored nine goals and chalked up 7 assists.

After the season ended, he rejoined the roster of the Chicago Wolves where he spent one more season before being brought up to The Show.

In the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Kolesar has scored two goals, and chalked three assists.

Currently, he and the Vegas Golden Knights are two games from hoisting the cup for the first time in the franchise's short history.

So far in the Finals, Las Vegas is holding the Florida Panthers down, leading two games to zero. Game 1 saw the Golden Knights win 5-2 over the Panthers. Game 2 brought another win for the Knights, who finished with a final score of 7-2.
