  • Distribution of a controlled dangerous substance in a drug-free zone.

The Incident

The incident happened at Jewel M. Sumner High School in Kentwood. Parish was not an employee of the Tangipahoa Parish School System. She was actually a substitute worker, hired by ESS, a staffing service used to place substitute employees in schools.

Parish was caught in the act after a student saw something suspicious and reported to the school's P3 app that a cafeteria worker was allegedly selling homemade edibles.
