BODYCAM: Mud Covered Guy In Just A Speedo Runs From Cops
It's a headline that makes you want to see more, right?
A guy named Alec Bogus, wearing just a Speedo, covered completely head to toe in mud, ran from the cops at the Indian Hot Springs in Denver.
It was August 26th when cops with the Idaho Springs Police were dispatched to arrest a suspect who was wanted in Douglas County after reports of credit card fraud and stolen identification on that same day.
Bogus was halfway through a mudbath and asked him about the credit card fraud, then told him he was going to jail with them.
They were going to let him shower the mud off before taking him in, but then he decided to run.
So, we get the fun bodycam of cops chasing a guy named Bogus through a spa covered in mud only wearing his Speedo.
The pursuing officer tweaked his knee chasing Bogus up a hill and lost him, until the department drone was deployed and spotted Bogus at an intersection nearby.
The drone officer drove over and followed him to a residence, where the homeowner said Bogus was hiding out in the shed in the backyard. Police approached the shed, opened the door, and found him hiding inside.
According to the affidavit, "no search incident to arrest was necessary as Bogus ran from us in a pair of black Speedos and no other clothing.”
Bogus also tweaked his knee in the same area as the officer, and was taken to a hospital for evaluation before heading to jail.
Bogus charges include:
- Second-degree burglary
- Escape
- Obstruction of justice
- Resisting arrest
