If you've been looking for an excuse to dust off your paddle and show off your pickleball skills, Downtown Davenport has you covered.

On Saturday, June 6, a section of West 3rd Street will be transformed into a one-of-a-kind pickleball venue as the first-ever Urban Pickleball Classic takes over downtown. The event will close off 3rd Street between Harrison and Ripley Streets, turning city pavement into pickleball courts for a day packed with competition, live music, food, drinks, and community fun.

Who Can Play and What Does It Cost?

The Urban Pickleball Classic will feature a round-robin doubles tournament with Open Doubles and Mixed Doubles divisions, welcoming players of various skill levels. Registration costs $50 per player, and every dollar raised from tournament entries will support Friends of Mr. Thanksgiving.

The pickleball action begins at 10 a.m., but the fun won't stop when the paddles are put away.

What Happens After the Pickleball Matches End?

That evening, the party shifts into high gear with Fool House: The Ultimate 90s & Y2K Party. The nationally touring concert experience brings all the biggest throwback hits from the late '90s and early 2000s to the stage. Opening the show will be Big Hair Mafia, delivering a set packed with classic 80s hair-metal favorites.

The event is being brought together through a partnership between Daiquiri Factory, Kilkenny's Irish Pub, Carriage Haus, Mac's Tavern, Collette's Piano Bar, B100, and the Downtown Davenport Partnership.

And in 2026, there are twelve chances for people to swear something “feels off.”
