For those who don't know what "skip scanning" is, it's when you purposely hide the bar code while "scanning" your items at the self-checkout. That way it looks like you are swiping it over the sensor, but you're really just stealing. YOU SHOULD NEVER DO THIS!

Police received word that Tull had purposely skipped at least 24 items in his cart. When security footage was reviewed, police confirmed that Tull had stolen around $165 worth of items/groceries.

Finding More Than Stolen Goods

After Tull was arrested, he asked officers if he could keep the items that he DID purchase. Tull gave police his key fob and the officers agreed to put his groceries in the back seat of his car.

Police walked over to the car and decided to put the groceries in the trunk of the car to keep them out of sight. When they popped it open and a very strong smell of marijuana blasted officers in the nose.

Officers found three duffle bags full of vacuum-sealed bags of marijuana totaling 37 pounds. They also found a smaller bag of suspected Psilocybin mushrooms.

Police said that it was the largest marijuana bust in the department’s history.
