
Wisconsin Driver Replaces Broken Headlight with Flashlight During Traffic Stop
Necessity is the mother of all invention. I am not sure who first uttered those words, but I am almost sure that the person who placed a flashlight in the spot where their broken headlight used to be may have said it as well.
A Door County Traffic Stop Turns Strange
That's because this same thing happened just a couple of days ago in Door County, Wisconsin. How do I know? Well, a cop stopped a vehicle for speeding and "discovered something that isn't seen every day," according to the Door County Sheriff's Office Facebook.

The vehicle was missing a driver side headlight, and a handheld flashlight had been placed and pointed forward as a substitute. While an attempt was made to increase visibility, a flashlight is not a safe or legal replacement for proper headlights.
I'd chalk it up to a good try and an attempt to get around an obviously expensive fix with a much cheaper one.
