Iowa’s Favorite Pizza Stop is Opening More Stores in 2026

As Iowans and Midwesterners, at this point, we are keenly aware of the goodness that is Casey's General Stores.

Tasty pizza aside, the company’s headquarters are located in Ankeny, Iowa, making it one of the state's most recognizable and successful brands.

Now, the Iowa-based chain is aggressively expanding its footprint, set to add around 80 new locations during fiscal year 2026.

Where Will New Casey's Be Popping Up?

Back in 2022, Casey's was aiming to have 2,500 stores. In 2025, the plan is to expand to new locations in at least one state that is home to a major Casey's competitor.

In 2025, Casey’s is building seven new Texas locations, including a store in Abilene, Burnet, Tioga, Texarkana, Gladewater, and Athens, as part of its broader plan to add 270 stores this fiscal year.

148 of these locations are set to open in Texas.

What makes Texas interesting is, it's the home to the fast-expanding Buc-ee's.

This may seem like a gamble, but Casey's doing very well financially.

The company reported all-time high Q4 earnings for fiscal 2025, powered by an 11% revenue soared to $3.99 billion and strong inside-store sales (+12%).

Casey’s consistent success with in-store sales of pizza, which is the gospel in Iowa, and prepared foods, is fueling its national growth.

Iowa Pride

While Casey’s is expanding into new territory like Texas, Iowa continues to be its strongest and most established base of operations, with hundreds of locations statewide.

With Kum & Go ending its Iowa ties not long ago, Iowans can take pride that a homegrown brand is now competing at a national level.

With Casey's growing, hopefully, it continues to add more opportunities across existing Iowa stores, especially in logistics and corporate roles.

Is Iowa Getting New Locations?

With Casey's expanding and adding more stores by the end of the fiscal year 2026, it appears Iowa is adding new stores here in Iowa, but there is no confirmed number at this time.
