Well, here's a recall you don't hear about every day. The completely wrong product is being sold in a can labeled something else.

What's more bizarre, the product recalled is alcoholic... and showing up in cans labeled as a non alcoholic energy drink.

Energy drinks and alcohol shouldn't be mixed for safety reasons, sorry Red Bull/vodka fans, so the mix-up is quite jarring.

What You Need to Know: The Recall

Select cans of High Noon Beach Variety vodka seltzers ended up labeled as Celsius Astro Vibe Energy Drink (Sparkling Blue Razz Edition), even though they contain alcohol.

Not a great product swap, but fortunately, the 21+ product is mislabeled, not the all-ages product.

In other words, while the Celsius can contain booze, they're only appearing in packs of High Noon, which kids cannot purchase.

That said, if you buy High Noon and stick a mislabeled can in the fridge, a minor could grab one.

What to Look For & Where It’s Been Sold

While Iowa is not on the list of impacted states, two other Midwestern states are, and it's still possible some may have ended up in Iowa.

  • Celsius cans affected have silver lids instead of the customary black.

  • Lot Codes (listed on the bottom of Celsius cans or exterior of High Noon packs):

    • Celsius cans: L CCB 02JL25 2:55 to 3:11

    • High Noon Beach Packs: L CCC 17JL25 14:00–23:59 and L CCC 18JL25 00:00–03:00

  • Where sold: Affected packs were distributed between July 21–23, 2025, to retailers in Florida, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Bottom Line

High Noon has voluntarily recalled two small production lots of its Beach Variety packs due to cans mistakenly labeled as Celsius energy drinks, which actually contain vodka seltzer.

While no harm has been reported, the mislabeling could cause unintended alcohol consumption, so consumers are urged to check for silver-lidded cans and specific lot codes before consuming.
