Waterloo’s Food Truck Festival Returning with Record 27 Vendors
Food trucks are a great way to try something new, aren't they? We have some amazing food truck options in Eastern Iowa, too.
Waterloo will soon become, for one day only, a major hub showcasing those amazing Eastern Iowa food trucks!
Waterloo's 5th Annual FoodTruck Festival Returns Late August
Downtown Waterloo is gearing up for one of its tastiest traditions as the 5th Annual Food Truck Festival returns to RiverLoop Expo Plaza on Saturday, August 30, 2025.
From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the plaza will transform into a food lover’s paradise with a record 27 food trucks serving up everything from comfort classics to adventurous eats and sweet treats.

Each vendor will also offer a $5 sample item, giving festivalgoers the chance to taste, vote, and crown their favorite dish of the day.
In a press release, Jessica Rucker, Executive Director of Main Street Waterloo, said,
This one is going to be bigger and tastier than ever... with 27 amazing vendors and the incredible support of our community, downtown Waterloo is the place to eat, explore, and celebrate the holiday weekend.
Ticket Cost/Where to Buy for the Food Truck Festival
Tickets are $5 (children 12 and under get in free), and trucks will accept cash and most credit cards.
Along with great food, the festival will feature a family-friendly atmosphere, live college football broadcasts, and plenty of fun.

Volunteers play a key role in making the event possible. Those who sign up will receive a t-shirt, water, a coupon for an adult beverage, and general admission to the festival.
