First Responders Get In FREE for Steamwheelers’ First Responders Night This Saturday
If you're a first responder, this Saturday is your night.
The Quad City Steamwheelers are rolling out the red carpet for the men and women who protect our communities during First Responders Night at Vibrant Arena. Better yet, all active-duty and retired first responders can attend the game for FREE.
The Steamwheelers take on the Fishers Freight on Saturday, and while fans can expect another exciting night of indoor football, the spotlight before kickoff will be on the heroes who serve the Quad Cities every day.
FREE Tickets for First Responders
Whether you're a firefighter, police officer, EMT, paramedic, dispatcher, or another first responder, the Steamwheelers want to say thank you.
Active-duty and retired first responders will receive:
- One complimentary game ticket
- Discounted tickets for family and friends
To claim the offer, simply bring your department ID to the Vibrant Arena Box Office before the game.
It's a small way for the organization to recognize the people who answer the call when our community needs them most.
Special Pregame Tribute
The appreciation starts well before kickoff.
Several local first responder departments will help lead the Steamwheelers onto the field as part of the team's entrance, creating a memorable start to the evening.
Fans will also see the Rock Island Fire Department Color Guard present the colors during the pregame ceremony, honoring those who serve while kicking off an exciting night of football.
At 6:45 p.m., the Deckmate Dancers will perform their opening routine, but this time they'll be joined by local first responders on the field.
It's not every day you get to see firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and other local heroes dancing alongside the Deckmate Dancers, and it's sure to be one of the most talked-about moments of the evening.
If you're planning to attend, you'll definitely want to arrive early so you don't miss it.

Kickoff is 7 PM on Saturday, July 11th at Vibrant Arena, with the Deckmate Dancers' special first responders performance beginning at 6:45 p.m.
