Joann Fabrics Final Wave Of Closures Set For May In Wisconsin

Over the last few months many have been keeping an eye on the Joann locations closing across the United States. It looks like the official final days are on the horizon for Joann Fabrics after the Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing.

By now you've seen the "Going Out Of Business Sale" signs at Joann locations, but it looks like those will soon disappear. Cheapism went on to report,

Joann will close its remaining 500+ stores by the end of May across 49 states and go out of business.The closures are being managed by GA Global Partners, a liquidation firm tasked with selling off inventory and assets from each location.

Burlington & Other Stores Will Take Over Dozens of Former Locations

Other retailers such as Hobby Lobby and Boot Barn are also reportedly eyeing former Joann storefronts, as the brand exits the retail landscape entirely.

Some locations will also be replaced by another popular brand in select states. You can see more here. In an weird turn of events, the liquidation deals were so good that online shopping had been suspended due to demand. By now most of these places are out of the "good stuff."

Liquidation sales at closing stores advertise discounts of up to 70%, though according to some customers, markdowns vary by location.
