The 90s were awesome.  The bridge between the decadence of the 80s and the technology boom of the 2000s.  The sweet spot where so many of us learned so much.  Including our musical tastes.

Now we can relive a part of the 90s  at The Rust Belt in East Moline with Everclear, Marcy Playground, and Jimmies Chicken Shack.

Tickets are available at therustbeltqc.com, Coop Records and you can win them from your concert leader below.

Everclear

Everclear has been rockin since 1993 with their biggest hits coming from 1995 and 1997.  With songs like Santa Monica, Everything to Everyone, I Will Buy You A New Life, and Father of Mine, Everclear scored 5 top 10 hits cementing themselves as one of those bands that is the soundtrack of the 90s.

Everclear is fronted by original lead singer Art Alexakis with long-time members Dave French and Freddy Herrera on guitar and bass respectively.

Marcy Playground

If you want to talk about a song that defined the feelings of the 90s it would be Sex and Candy from Marcy Playground.  While it was the band's only hit, what a hit it was.  The song helped push the debut album 3x platinum.

Original member John "Woz" Wozniak is still fronting the band on guitar and lead vocals with original member Dylan Keefe on bass.

Jimmies Chicken Shack

You recognize that one.  Jimmie's Chicken Shack is not a place to get a bite.  It's another band from the 90s that defines what music was during that time.  Different.  And that was a good thing.

Like the other bands coming to The Rust Belt in East Moline, Jimmies Chicken Shack lead singer and founding member Jimi Haha will be on the stage taking you back.

Skillet, Theory of a Deadman and Saint Asonia at the Sold Out Show at The Rust Belt

It was an incredible night with a few thousand friends at The Rust Belt with Skillet, Theory of a Deadman, and Saint Asonia. The sold-out show rocked from front to back. And if you were standing in the back enjoying the sound and sites, but wondered what they would look like if those sites were closer, here are some great shots from Captured by Lorraine.
