Tickets for the 2026 Mississippi Valley Fair are on sale now.

Wait, do I mean Fun Cards?  Well, yes...I do.  But also, tickets.  Because for the first time in forever, the fair will sell individual tickets for the Grandstand.  We talked with MVF Fair Director Shawn Loter about the decision to make these available and what band might fill that last day in the Grandstand.

Shawn said that they've been working on it for a few years now and "my board finally approved to do the single-day tickets."

The single-day ticket prices are as follows:

  • Tuesday, August 4, 2026. Brad Paisley ticket $60.00
  • Wednesday, August 5, 2026. Keith Urban ticket $80.00
  • Thursday, August 6, 2026. Jessie Murph ticket $50.00
  • Friday, August 7, 2026. Tucker Wetmore ticket $50.00
  • Saturday, August 8, 2026. TBA
  • Sunday, August 9, 2026. Neal McCoy and Craig Morgan tickets $30.00

Limited single-day tickets are available, and each of those includes the one-day entrance to the fair.

While single-day tickets are now a great option, Shawn does remind everyone that Fun Cards are still the best value.  "The Fun Card is the best option, but if you want to come one day to experience the fair, you can."

You can also go VIP style with the Pepsi Premier Experience, which gives you early access, pit access, and a private bar/bathroom.

What about rock!?  As I've told you numerous times, rock acts are the hardest to book.  Not only are they the hardest to book in general, but they are very difficult when booking far in advance and in the summer.  These bands are trying to book as many high-paying festivals as possible before going to other events and/or tours.  And, as we've discussed, some simply won't play fairs.

Shawn said, "We had Papa Roach on the hook, but they just backed out.  So, the new band we are working on, we found routing that works, but still no commitment."

The biggest moment of hope for more rock at the fair might not be rock at the fair.  It might be something completely separate from the week of the fair, but at the fairgrounds.  "If we have a great year this year, I definitely want to look into doing our own two-day rock fest."

For now, the rock world waits to see what type of rock band it will be on the open night.  New.  Old.  Hard.  Soft.  A lot of options.  But as Shawn said, a lot of dragging their feet on their end.  So, we wait.
