2022 rocked.  So many shows have come to the Quad Cities that it's hard to remember all of them.  But we did, and here they are...for the most part.

These are the big concerts that I-Rock 93.5 got to enjoy with you in 2022.

March 17 - Tool - TaxSlayer Center

I forgot this is how the year started.  That is awesome to now remember that.  Tool filled the TaxSlayer Center and put on an amazing show.  And the year started with Maynard and his "toy" behind Danny during the drum solo.

March 25 - Korn - TaxSlayer Center

And then a week after Tool rocked the TaxSlayer Center, Korn and Chevelle came and kicked ass.  This may have been the greatest March ever in the history of the Quad Cities.  At least it was for me.

March 26 - All That Remains - Rust Belt

Then the day after Korn we kept the party going at the Rust Belt with four awesome bands headlined by All That Remains.  Special shoutout to those that made it out to both shows!

May 10 - Clutch - Rust Belt

This was fun.  These guys are great musicians and performers.  Nonstop energy and a great time with the guys from Clutch.

May 13 and 14 - Midwest Monster Fest with Alborn, The Forty Twos, Elisium, NonGrata, and Saint October

It was great to add some rock to the Midwest Monster Fest Halfway-to-Halloween celebration.  All bands were great...and look at that height from Justin.  Impressive.

June 5 - Slipknot - TaxSlayer Center

This was the one so many had as their concert of the year.  When we found out that Knotfest was coming to the TaxSlayer Center we know things were going to get nuts.  And they sure did.  That was a damn good time.  This is where Corey told us new music was coming too.  And little did we know, this would be the last rock show at the TaxSlayer Center...ever.

June 17 - Shaman's Harvest, Crobot - The Rust Belt

Before they rocked The Rust Belt they came in and rocked with us at The Rock and Roll Mansion.  The guys from Shaman's and Crobot are awesome and we look forward to getting Crobot back in town once all their gear is put back together.

July 5 - As I Lay Dying - Rust Belt

The heaviest and loudest show of the year?  Probably.  Went up into the I-Rock 93.5 Penthouse for some pics during this show with AILD, Whitechapel, Shadow of Intent, and Brand of Sacrifice...and up there, it rattled the s&^t right out of me.  That place was rumblin.

July 19 - Three Days Grace, Wagewar, and Zero 9:36

Was awesome to have Wagewar join us in the studio before the show.  And amazing to see them, 3DG and Zero at The Rust Belt.  The crowd was singing along to every Three Days Grace song and it was a great show from start to finish.

August 6 - Mississippi Valley Fair with Kid Rock

The biggest crowd ever at the MVF?  Kid Rock 2022.  It was full from side to side from front to back.  An awesome night at the fair.  It was also awesome, hilarious, and horrifying to read the greatest/worst comment thread ever thanks to Kid Rock.  And we're already looking forward to Limp Bizkit in 2023.

September 9 - 3 Shocking Years with 3 Years Hollow, Alborn, The Forty Twos, and The Hong Kong Sleepover

I said it then and I'll say it again now, thank you.  Had no idea what to expect when we brought these 4 bands together for our anniversary party.  And holy rockin balls did you show up.  Not sure how many times I heard throughout the night "I've never had to park this far away for a show!".  Thank you again to 3 Years Hollow, Alborn, The Forty Twos, and The Hong Kong Sleepover.  We'll see you again for year 4 in September.

October 3 - Hinder - Rust Belt

This was a surprisingly good show on a Monday night.  Going into it there was a thought it would be empty and the crowd would not be into the show.  Totally opposite.  The crowd was into Hinder, Skarlett Roxx, and the High Five Sinners.

October 22 - Halloween Bash with Wonkzilla's Zombie Experience and Got Your Six

Halloween at Rascals was a great time.  The tunes on stage were spot on for a Hard Rock Halloween party and the costumes were on point.  Except for the jackass in the bunny suit.  WTH.

October 29 - Judas Priest - Vibrant Arena at The Mark

The first rock show at the new old Vibrant Arena at The Mark.  I didn't know what to expect walking into this one.  But, they can still play and wow can Rob still sing.  An awesome show on Halloween weekend.

November 13 - Drowning Pool - Rust Belt

The way Drowning Pool ended the show (of course it was Bodies) getting the other bands involved and getting out and playing and singing in the crowd was so cool.  They could do that song in their sleep with how many times they played it but was so cool to see how they still made it fun for the crowd.

December 10 - I-Rock 93.5 Not So Silent Night with Eva Under Fire, Alborn, Discrepancies, and Versus Me

This was just all sorts of fun.  It was a bummer Crobot had to cancel due to all their stuff being stolen.  But it was such a fun night with the bands and you.  All these bands are the type of young bands that in the future you'll be seeing on bigger stages and shows across the country.  So it's great when you get to see them in a setting like that.

December 29 - Sevendust and Nonpoint - Rust Belt

And this is how we finished the year.  With a bang...er.  Sevendust and Nonpoint together along with Ill Nino and Another Day Dawns.  Rippin.  There were a lot of you in The Rust Belt for a rowdy good way to finish off 2022.

Thank you for rockin with us all year...and see you at all of them we'll bring to you in 2023!
