Judge Says Kinnick House Can Go Ahead

You may remember back in February when I told you about an Iowa City couple who put their plans to build a 7,500 square foot replica house of Kinnick Stadium - home of the Iowa Hawkeyes football team - on hold. 

The delay was in response to neighbors concerned about noise, traffic, and parties who threatened to go to court to stop the construction. And go to court they did.

On March 16, according to the Quad City Times, a judge decided that Iowa City was justified in issuing a building permit for the home, and construction can continue.

The home will be a not-quite-exact replica of Kinnick, complete with brick siding and a press box. Let's hope for the neighbors sake that it doesn't attract quite as many fans as they real thing.
