Largest Hy-Vee In America Is Incredible And Now Open Near Iowa

The largest Hy-Vee in the country is now open for business.  The store is located just outside Iowa in Gretna, Nebraska.

The new totally reimagined grocery store is 135,000 square feet and is the largest Hy-Vee to date.

The store is also accompanied by a 6,300-square-foot Aisles Online grocery delivery and pickup service and a 4,250-square-foot Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh convenience store adjacent to the grocery store.

Eat at Hy-Vee

Like other Hy-Vee's, this location offers ion store dining as well.  More than just a test grape.

This store has a new dining experience for customers with a large, open Food Hall dining area for fast-casual dining, which includes Hy-Vee’s expanded breakfast menu; a pub with a full sit-down bar, 32 taps, and outdoor patio; Mealtime offerings; Mia Italian; HyChi and Hibachi; Nori Sushi; Market Grille Express; Long Island Deli; and a Wahlburgers at Hy-Vee.

There is an in-store Starbucks, a Pair Eyewear kiosk, a beauty department, and an expanded Candy Shoppe department.

This location also has a large Hy-Vee Wine and Spirits department featuring a walk-in beer cooler, a walk-in humidor, and a walk-in wine room.

It's a Digital World

The Gretna Hy-Vee includes all-digital shelf labels that display product information and pricing and has more than 100 TVs that feature Hy-Vee products, promotions, and services. Digital kiosks are also available for customers to order custom cakes and freshly prepared foods, as well as access offerings via Hy-Vee Financial Services.

The store will be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily and will carry about 120,000 items, including more than 6,300 specialty items, more than 8,000 HealthMarket items, and 3,500 fresh produce items (including 120 organic items).

The opening of the largest Hy-Vee at 10855 S 191st Street in Gretna has created more than 628 local jobs, including 128 full-time positions.
