The 7th Avenue and 19th Street intersection is a major access point to Iowa-bound I-74. During workday commutes, it is one of the most congested intersections in the Quad Cities. Now, it's closed until December.

Last week crews removed a median, and now they will reconfigure the entire intersection as part of construction for the new I-74 bridge.

Those wishing to access Iowa-bound I-74 can still do so from the 7th Avenue on-ramp using 5th Avenue, then looping around to approach the ramp from the East.

To access downtown Moline from the 7th Avenue off-ramp, traffic must proceed east and loop around on 5th or 4th Avenues.

Here's hoping the weather allows workers to stay on schedule.
