New to Fishing? Kids Can Learn for Free With This Rock Island Clinic
We're all familiar with the phrase "give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime". And while a lifetime of eating nothing but fish seems like a horrible lifetime, it is important to pass down the love of fishing to the next generation.
Like a Norman Rockwell painting or the Andy Griffith show opener, fishing is ingrained in us as Americans.
But maybe you didn't have the luxury of living next to the mighty Mississippi as a kid or camping on Elkhorn Creek as a teenager. Or maybe you just want to do something fun and interesting with the kids during summer. Here's the perfect thing and the price is right too.
Rock Island Conservation Club will be holding a free youth "New to Fishing" fishing clinic for ages 5 to 15. This event is open to the public but requires pre-registration required as space is limited.
You can download the registration form here.
Here's What The "New to Fishing" Clinic Will Cover
- Fish and Aquatic life identification Rules and regulations
