The St. Patrick's Day Grand Parade XXXVI is scheduled for this Saturday, March 12. Ahead of Saturday's festivities, the City of Davenport has released a map of road closures so people who aren't wanting to dress up in green can avoid traffic and plan ahead. Road closures for the parade and celebrations will begin Saturday morning.

On Wednesday, the City of Davenport posted on social media a map showing road closures ahead of the Quad Cities St. Patrick's DayGrand Parade XXXVI. The Grand Parade will start in Rock Island at 11:30 a.m. at 23rd St and 4th Ave Saturday morning, cross the Talbot/Centennial Bridge, and end at the River Center on 3rd St in downtown Davenport.

From 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Iowa-bound Centennial Bridge/Gaines St to W 3rd St will be closed. W 3rd St will also be closed from Gaines St to Pershing Ave at the same time.

W 3rd St from Division to Gaines St. will be closed from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday. The 300 block of W 3rd St will be closed from 8:30 a.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday morning.

The 40th annual CASI St. Patrick's Day Race will also take place in downtown Davenport this Saturday. The 5k race, along with the 1-mile and Tot-Trot versions, will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday. The race starts at Main and 2nd Streets.
