The easiest spots to find sharp plays are in nationally televised games, primetime games, and big games between popular teams with, teams with star players and rivals that get a lot of air time during the week on sports media.

It is important that you do your own homework and look at trends, as well.  Simply going contrarian against the popular public bet won't always be profitable.  Find the games that work best for your bet and your budget.  Pay attention to sharp trends-- you rarely want to be on the wrong side of the pros.

4:00 P.M. CST, TBS: St. Louis Cardinals at Atlanta Braves

Tonight in Atlanta is the series finale Game 5.  The Cardinals kept themselves in the post season by winning in extra innings 5-4 in Game 4.  Tonight the Birds on the Bat put Jack Flaherty (11-8, 2.75 ERA) on the mound.

In Game 2 of this series, Mike Foltynewicz (8-6, 4.54 ERA) bested Jack in a 3-0 Braves win.  Folty will get the ball as the Braves starter tonight.  Line opened at -110 Atlanta Braves favorites.  The PUBLIC is backing the Braves-- nearly 60% of the bets are on the home team.

However, the line has moved to the Cardinals -110, showing that the SHARP money is coming in on the visiting team.  The TOTAL has seen the majority of the bets coming in on the UNDER-- wind is blowing in from left center at 5-6 MPH.

7:30 P.M. CST, TBS: Washington Nationals at Los Angeles Dodgers

The Nationals are putting Stephen Strasburg (18-6, 3.32 ERA) on the bump to take on the Dodgers.  Strasburg has a career stat line of 0.64 ERA in 28 post-season innings, including six innings in Game 2-- he gave up 1 run in the 4-2 victory at Dodger Stadium.

The Los Angeles Dodgers counter with 14 game winner Walker Buehler (14-4, 3.26 ERA) and possible Clayton Kershaw out of the bullpen.

Dodgers have been hammered by the public.  Opening up as -160 favorites, the Dodgers have been bet up to -180.  Public sees the home team in an advantage when it comes to "win or go home" Game 5 atmosphere.  There is value in the contrarian Nat-- currently at +160.  There is some sharp money on the Nats.

The OVER TOTAL has some "juice jump" at 7 (-120).  The wind is blowing out to center at speeds as high as 8 MPH.

7:00 P.M. CST, ESPN2: Appalachian State (4-0) at UL-Lafayette (4-1)

Both of these teams lead their respective divisions in the Sun Belt Conference. Appalachian State opened as +1 road dog.  App State is sitting at 3-1 Against The Spread while UL-L is a perfect 5-0 ATS.

Sharps are in on App State and the line has moved in them to -1 favorites in some books.  NOT at Elitesporsbook, however.  They are still sitting at +1.5!!!!

The TOTAL has PRO action, too.  The OVER/UNDER started at 68.5 but has moved all the way to 71-- showing large sharp action.
