Super Bowl Sunday is great for a lot of reasons. There's obviously the big game, but then there's the food. OMG the food. It's one of the best food days of the whole year.

I think I know why it's so delicious, it's because it's basically a buffet of appetizers. There's never really a main dish, it's just a bunch of yummy sides and apps. And what's better than that? Nothing.

If you need some inspiration for what to make for this year's Super Bowl, look no further.  Google Trends analyzed what foods we searched for most last year for the big game. Here's what they found -

Honestly, the Midwest knows whats up.

  • Jalapeno poppers
  • Pulled pork
  • Chili
  • Cookies
  • Sliders
  • 7 Layer Dip

What more could you ask for? Well, personally, I'd ask for more. Not because I think that list needs more, I just want it to have more. So let's keep going with what else looks delicious from the map -

  • ALL THE DIPS - Pizza, Buffalo Chicken, Rotel, Spinach Artichoke, give me it all
  • Pulled Brisket
  • Pigs in a blanket (my personal fav)
  • Chicken Wings
  • Deviled Eggs
  • Taco Soup
  • Cup Cakes

Are you inspired yet? Let me introduce you to one more Super Bowl treat - Totchos.

AKA tater tot nachos. You're welcome in advanced for this one -

Don't forget, Super Bowl calories don't count! You wake up Monday morning and it's like nothing ever happened. Except that hangover, that will probably feel like something happened.

Happy eating.
