Top 10 Businesses In Illinois With The Highest Revenue In 2024

Businesses are making money.  Even during "down times" businesses make money.  Some make a lot more than others.

Here are the top 10 businesses in Illinois with the highest revenue for 2024.

10 - Allstate

There is good money in accidents.  Allstate, located in Northbrook Illinois, had a revenue stream of $57,100,000 in 2024.

9 - John Deere

John Deere had record profits just a few years ago.  While revenue is down for the Moline-based company, they will still bring in a projected $61,200,000.  Those numbers can be hard to look at for the 1000s of John Deere employees who have recently been laid off.

8 - LG Solar Inc.

There is money in the sun.  $63,300,000 in revenue for the Lincolnshire company that has been around since 1958.

7 - HSBC Bank

There is money in money.  In 2024 HSBC Bank will have $66,100,000 in revenue.  The Lake Forest company started in 1890.  If HSBC Bank made the same revenue in 1890 that they will this year it would be worth $2,292,900,043.  Inflation!

6 - Caterpillar

While the company has headquarters all across the country, Peoria Heights Illinois can still claim them and their $67,100,000 in revenue.

5 - Alliance Boots

No Alliance Boots does not make boots.  There isn't $82,000,000 of yearly revenue in boots.  Alliance Boots is a Healthcare Company with ties to Switzerland, and also Deerfield Illinois.

4 - State Farm

Remember how insurance companies make money?  Yeah, we talked about that with the number 10 company of All State.  Well, State Farm does it "better" by generating $87,900,000 in revenue for 2024.  That is a lot of money coming into the Bloomington Illinois company.

3 - ADM Animal Nutrition

Feeding the cows that are feeding the country.  ADM is located in Quincy Illinois, has been around since 1800 (the oldest company on this list) and the 2024 revenue will be $93,000,000.

2 - Archer Daniels Midland Company

Had to look up this company and figure out what they do and why they are different from ADM Animal Nutrition.  It is the overarching company of all things ADM.  Which includes "Human Nutrition".

\That doesn't mean they are cooking pizza and hamburgers, but they make the items to help with things like texture.  You know those ingredients that you can't read on the package of food you are buying.  They make a lot of those.  Emulsifiers, hydrocolloids, acidulants, "flavors" and more.  Yum.

The Chicago-based company will bring in $93,900,000 in revenue.

1 - Walgreens Boots Alliance

Walgreens has $139,000,000 in revenue coming in for 2024.  That is not from all the stores.  That includes everything under the umbrella for the Deerfield, Illinois company.  With that much revenue coming in you might things are great.  However, the company is struggling with retail stores and closing locations across America.
