For our first "College Football Pick 6" of the 2018 season, we had Andrew Chesser, GM of the Quad City River Bandits, join us.  Here is a list of the games and how each one of us thought where you should lay the money:

IOWA (-10) vs Northern Illinois

We all agree that this spread is pretty accurate and Serge, Jay, TRoy and Andrew all took the Hawks.  Originally, this went off at -13 but has been hammered down to as low as -9.5.  In the past 24 hours, it has jumped back up to -10.5 and settled this afternoon at -10.  Give up the points up to -10 but stay away if it goes back to -10.5.  GO HAWKS!

South Dakota St AT IOWA STATE (-13)

There is a lot of hype around this Iowa State program.  They are receiving more votes in the coaches poll than Iowa and they will be out to prove that they are the better team going into the Week 2 match up.  Campbell's name is brought up in every college football program whose coach is on the hot seat, including Ohio State.  RB Montgomery is the read deal in Ames.  Jay and Serge say to give up the points and back the Cyclones.  Chesser and TRoy say no way- it is a jack rabbit betting day!

NEBRASKA -24.5 VS Akron

This is way too much for Nebraska but the betting public is hammering the Nebraska spread so much it has moved to -26 since we were on the radio.  Expect the sharks to move this back down to -24.  It will be Scott Frost Day in the state of Nebraska but that won't do too much to make this offense explode and cover  with a true freshman under center for the Cornhuskers.  We all agree to take the points and back Akron.  HOWEVER, the 1st half is currently at -16 and Jay loves the first half.  Scott Frost will show off his coaching skills to the home crowd and then back off in the 2nd half.

Michigan at NOTRE DAME (-1.5)

This game opened up as Michigan the favorite at -1 and moved as much as Notre Dame -2.  A loss here would put a big dent in either team's College Football Playoff plans.  Michigan more than Notre Dame because we don't see Michigan surviving the B1G East without at least one loss. Serge, Andrew, and Jay agree that playing scared will not be a motivating factor for the Wolverines.  TRoy says take the Wolverines and the points.

MIAMI (-3.5) AT LSU (AT A T&T STADIUM)

Chesser is the lone back Tigers backer here.  Not much has changed to this line since it opened so we don't expect it to change on Saturday.  LSU lost it's quarterback, leading running back, and leading wide receiver to either the draft or graduation.  The inexperience of LSU will be taken advantage of  by the Hurricanes, according to Serge, TRoy, and Jay.

Virginia Tech at FLORIDA STATE (-7)

Another game the four of us split.  TRoy and Serge back Florida State and give up the -7.  But the sharps may be on Virginia Tech because this line has moved to -5.5 for the favorite Seminoles since we were on the radio. FSU has a 4-3 against the spread record against Virginia Tech in there last seven games and FSU QB Deondre Francois will be looking to make a statement after going down to a season ending injury during week one of the 2017 season.  Regardless, Chesser and Jay think this is too many points and can see FSU pulling out a 3 point victory over the Hokies.
