Your Small Business Could Expand Into Hy-Vee Stores In The Quad Cities
Are you a local business owner and are you thinking of growing your business? Maybe you make a really good salsa, bread, soaps, or sauce and you sell a lot of it at the Freight House Farmers Market every weekend and you want to sell it to more people in the Midwest. Whatever the case may be, you could expand your local Iowa or Illinois business with the help of Hy-Vee.
On Tuesday, Hy-Vee announced that it will host its next quarterly Best of Local Brands Summit in September. This is to expand and enhance the product offerings at its more than 285 retail stores in across its eight-state region, which includes Iowa and Illinois. Hy-Vee's Best of Local Brands summits began in early 2021. Since then more than 100 new brands have been selected and are available to Hy-Vee customers, according to the press release.
Officials say that this year, Hy-Vee is continuing to elevate its efforts of identifying suppliers with diverse backgrounds and encourages minority-owned and women-owned businesses to apply for the quarterly summits. The summit will consist of 20-minute virtual interviews with selected suppliers. The summit and interviews will take place Wednesday, September 7, through Friday, September 9.
If you want a chance to sell your products at Hy-Vee, the grocery store company is currently accepting submissions for its Best of Local Brands Summit online at www.rangeme.com/hyveebestoflocal22q3. They are accepting submissions in the following categories of retail-ready products:
- General merchandise
- Health and beauty care.
The deadline to submit your entry is July 18. Hy-Vee officials say that ECRM and RangeMe are helping them source, qualify and connect with suppliers. All product submissions will be made through RangeMe.
If you don't get picked, don't worry! Suppliers not chosen for participation in this summit will still be accessible through RangeMe and may be reviewed by Hy-Vee again in the future.
