A Yummy Día de los Muertos Food Truck Party Is Coming To Moline
On October 22, Downtown Moline will celebrate Dia de los Muertos with a parade, a free food truck party, and a concert at the Vibrant Arena at The Mark.
The Mercado on Fifth 1st Annual Dia de los Muertos Parade
The day will start with the first annual Dia de los Muertos parade starting at 3 pm. You can be in the parade as they are currently accepting applications for entries that include:
- Floats
- Marching bands
- Horses
- Vehicles
- Non-profits
- Businesses and more
And if you think your entry in the parade is great, you could win cash. $800, $500 and $300 prizes will be handed out for floats. Along with $500, $300 and $100 prizes for group costumes. Get in it here.
The concert at Vibrant Arena at The Mark
Before we get into all that food, check out how your night can end with a concert inside the Vibrant Arena.
Luis Coronel will be performing with special guests Banda La Super Ranchera.

Immediately following the Día de los Muertos Parade in Moline (4:30 pm – 6:30 pm) the Vibrant Arena at The MARK and Mercado on 5th will be hosting The Día de los Muertos Food Truck Party sponsored by Hy-Vee in the Vibrant Center parking lot. Admission is free and will include local food trucks, retail vendors, a beer garden, and music from Chicago’s Tamborazo Chanillos.
“We have been working with Mercado on 5th for the past 8 months to create this event followed by a concert in the arena featuring Luis Coronel at 7pm.” Says Vibrant Arena Executive Director, Scott Mullen. “It will be a day of food, fun and music celebrating our community’s Hispanic culture.”
Among the food trucks participating will be: Raulito Tacos, Tacos al Vapor, Miguel’s Street Tacos...

“It is extremely exciting to be in partnership with Vibrant Arena and that together, we will be able to enhance our Día de los Muertos celebrations.” Says Mercado on Fifth Executive Director, Anamaria Rocha. “We worked very hard to create this unique experience our vendors as well as the Latino community.”
