Zane Lamprey is one of my heroes.  He has made a living by traveling and drinking beer.  He's the inspiration behind my segment "What's Tappening" where we talk about locally brewed beer and events happening around the Quad Cities.

Back in 2014 he inspired me to interview local brewers at their establishment in a short lived web series called "A Beer With Bill".  I used an old iPad and a phone and had zero microphones so it looked and sounded like crap.  But I was learning about the beer industry and more importantly...drinking free beer while working.

Zane has had a few different shows that I've binged on a hungover Sunday.  Three Sheets, Drinking Made Easy, and created the most successful Kickstarter campaign The ADV3NTURE Hoodie with 23 pockets and for the outdoorsman that originally started off as a drinking jacket.

Zane is taking his work on the road in a tour called the Laughs & Drafts Comedy Tour.  He'll be coming to Bettendorf March 4th at Twin Span Brewing.

Lucky for him they've released The Feb-barrel-uary Series, which is a very limited release of 3 of beers aged in Mississippi River Distilling Company barrels. The Rye Rye, Cherry Sweetin, and award winning BBA Quad City Quad.

Join comedian and award winning TV host Zane Lamprey at Twin Span Brewing for his Laughs and Drafts Comedy Tour. This is a ticketed event; VIP doors open @6, General Admission doors @7; event begins @7:45. Tickets available @ https://zanelamprey.com

Craft Breweries in the Quad Cities Area

We're very lucky to live in an area with such an amazing, thriving "craft beer scene". You'll be able to find everything you could want.

Not sure what you want? That's ok. The bartenders at these establishments are very well versed and can guide you through a wonderland of Ales and Lagers.

From "coffee infused" to "riff infused".

From "pale ales" to "peanut butter porters".

Fruity, Sour, Hoppy, Malty, Crisp, Crushable beers in all shapes and sizes.

Crowlers, Growlers, Cans & Kegs...the Quad Cities Craft Beer scene has it all.

And of course...a great beer isn't complete unless it's paired with some amazing food. Whether it's made in the breweries kitchen or in the food truck in the parking lot...brewers know that people love food with their beer.

Take a look at the 19 Quad Cities Area craft breweries!

What The Quad Cities Did For Fun in the 90's

Many times over the years, I'll be talking with friends about years gone by and I'll say "take me back".

Every generation goes through this, I assume. Looking back at a more simple time where responsibilities haven't set in and life seems fun. Opportunities are endless.

Let's go back to the 1990's to Wacky Waters, 50 Cent Beer night and revisit Mallards Mania!
