Running the Bix 7? Here’s How the New Team Challenge Will Work
The Quad-City Times Bix 7 Race has a new element to it this year- the Caesar's Sportsbook Team Challenge. Today, they announced how that's going to work.
Here's how it will go: each team in the Bix 7 will be able to have a maximum of five runners, with a minimum of 3 on a team. The team can be either male or female and if you would like to submit more than one team, you'll have to fill out separate forms.
In the team registration form, you'll be asked to come up with a team name, submit participants, and also their estimated 7-mile times or their time completing equivalent in a 5k, 10k, or half marathon.
If you have a team ready, you need to fill out the form and enter the race soon as there can only be 40 teams.
The Bix 7 will be on July 30, kicking off at 8:00 a.m. This year marks the 48th year that the Bix 7 has been run. As always, the race will start at the bottom of the Brady Street hill and is a 7-mile course through downtown Davenport that will be lined with bands, crowds, cheers, and a finish line celebration. If you aren't a runner, you can still walk the Bix 7.
