A guy by the name of Paul Myhill decided to take his love of drinking beer with friends and up level it by hitting all of the breweries in Colorado within a year.

According to TheDenverChannel.com:

“[He] hit 5 breweries (in a day) and we said, ‘What if we do 30 in 30 days?’ Ended up doing that in a week. So the goal got upped to 100 in 100 days, did that in a month. So 365 in 365 days?” Myhill recounted. “Then I said, ‘OK, I’m gonna do them all.’”

He ended up taking a trek to a brewery every day after work and getting a flight of beers (where you get smaller samples of several brews).

He ended up at 467 breweries within a year.

You don't have to be THAT hard core of a beer lover to have a great time enjoying beer in the Quad Cities.  You can simply choose to hit every brewery in the Quad Cities and that would be an incredible commitment to good beer.

There are currently 17 breweries on the QC Ale Trail.

DIY McRib

Everyone is rejoicing that the McRib is back! You can hear the chanting from down the block. Everyone is washing their hands a little bit more due to the bbq sauce residue and it's wonderful.

All is right with the world.

But it isn't always like this. The McRib will leave soon and we'll have to settle for a McChicken or a Double Quarter Pounder like a peasant. Life isn't fair. We know this.

However, my cousin Steve has figured out a way to beat the system.

He's gotten his hands dirty and experimented so we don't have to. He has perfected the DIY McRib!

Museums Within Driving Distance of the Quad Cities

"There isn't a museum I won't go to. The stupider, the better."
Michaels' statement this morning sent us into a good hour of discussion about museums within driving distance of the Quad Cities. Our listening family has clued us in on little hole-in-the-wall museums we never even knew existed, and they're just a hop, skip and a jump away from us.
Here's our highlights.
