It's Christmas in July with this announcement. The Quad City Arts and Kwik Star announced on Tuesday that the Festival of Trees is returning this year.
The 36th annual Festival of Trees will be from Saturday, November 20 to Sunday, November 28 at the RiverCenter in downtown Davenport. Festival of Trees 2021 will kick off with the normal tradition of their annual parade.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, all in-person events and the parade was canceled last year, but money was still raised as trees were auctioned virtually.
To really get the fun going, this year's theme is "Oh What Fun!"
Festival of Trees 2021 will feature 150 designer trees, rooms, wreaths, fireplace mantles, gingerbread creations, and other holiday gift shop items. Santa will also be there again this year but the hours he will be there this year will be announced at a later date. We do know that to see Santa, tickets will need to be purchased in advance.
Other new special events happening this year include a Red Carpet Gala on Thursday, November 18, a Premiere Beer and Wine Tasting on Friday, November 19, and a Rather Curious Brunch on Sunday, November 21.
Festival of Trees is a fundraising event to raise funds for Quad City Arts to continue to provide arts programs throughout the year in the Quad Cities. Admission fees, donations, and purchases during the Festival of Trees go back to Quad City Arts.
The cost of Festival of Trees is $10 for adults, $6 for seniors, $3 for children 2-10 and kids under 2 are free. Advance tickets go on sale on November 1.
For their "Chistmas in July" promotion, those who sign up to be a designer before August 1 will be registered to win a $100 VISA gift card.
More details can be found on their Facebook page, their website, or the Facebook event page.
Festival of Trees provides funding support for Quad City Arts programs like the Visiting Artist Series, Metro Arts Youth Apprenticeship, public art, and more.
