Muscatine Humane Society Needs You to Adopt a Pup
So they can move ahead with a new kennel installation project, the Muscatine Humane Society needs you to adopt their dogs.
According to a Facebook post from the Muscatine Humane Society, adoption rates for dogs are reduced to $75 as they work to make the shift to the new kennels. They're planning for that project to happen in the next couple of weeks and need your help to get their pups adopted so they can move forward with it.
Muscatine Humane Society Director Chris McGinnis told Our Quad Cities that the kennels are 26 years old and that some kennel parts (like the partitions) aren't made anymore. Add to that that cleaning chemicals can cause the kennels to be even more brittle.
Their goal is to get 30 dogs adopted. The kennels will be installed the week after next, and in the meantime, they will not turn away any dogs but you're asked to hang on to a dog for just a couple more weeks until the project is done.
Here's the link to see what dogs they have available for adoption right now. If you're already interested in an adoption application, reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org. They also have some cute cats (that have a $40 adoption fee) that you can meet and take home. Here's the link to see the cats.
The Muscatine Humane Society is at 920 S. Houser Street. They are open from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, as well as 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
