Atomic Coffee Bar has opened up its first Illinois location in Rock Island and it is open and ready to help you caffeinate.

I decided to check it out after seeing some social media chatter this week. Atomic Rock Island had its soft opening on April 2nd. Staff at Atomic told me that their grand opening will be on Saturday, April 9.

Lucky for you Atomic lovers, staff told me there will be drink deals on their grand opening day from 12-6.

On this Atomic trip, I got my pal an Aquamarine energy drink. 2 thumbs up from her. It was getting busy when I was there, but then again, I went around lunch.

Atomic Coffee Bar in Rock Island is at 4010 Blackhawk Rd. Scroll down to see pics from the new Rock Island location!

Atomic Coffee Bar's Life

Two brothers from Portland, Oregon named Steven and Peter opened the first West-Coast style drive-thru Atomic Coffee Bar in Davenport in 2016. Last fall, Peter had asked the city of Davenport for permission to build an Atomic Coffee drive-thru on West Locust, near West High School. The city said no since traffic build-up could get messy in the area. That prompted the opening of the new Rock Island location, their first in Illinois.

Their other locations are:

  • Davenport: 4707 N. Brady
  • Bettendorf: 3235 Ridge Point
