A Brand New Traffic Pattern In Bettendorf Is About To Confuse Drivers
Construction in Bettendorf is reaching a milestone. But, the new roads, especially intersections, will be confusing drivers for quite some time.
The roads by the TBK Sports Complex and the new golf and entertainment venue called "Iron Tee Golf", are going to be easier to get around and as you can see below, will look great.
A New Gateway To Bettendorf Is In Phase 3 of Construction.
The third and final construction phase for the area is underway on Middle Road from the Competition Drive intersection to just south of I-80. The closure of Forest Grove Drive will be extended to allow for further reconstruction. The construction project is getting closer and closer to the finish line as contractors diligently work despite a couple of hurdles - an abundance of rain in recent weeks and delayed delivery of materials.
On October 18th at 4:30 pm the city will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to open the Forest Grove and Middle Road roundabout. And this is where the confusion comes in.
Two of Four Roundabouts To Be Open
Eventually, there will be 4 roundabouts to navigate in the area. But starting soon, as you can see above, two of them will be open. The construction continues on the last one on Middle Road and the one on Forest Grove.
Do you know how to use those roundabouts? Are you good with those? Cause a lot of people are not.
It might be better to use the pedestrian bridge to cross the road.
Trails, monuments, and more as the new gateway to Bettendorf.
This is how it will all look someday.
Then you can walk happily along like these people.
As that construction wraps up, the city will be hoping people come back to the area to check out some of the shops and restaurants in the area.
Stay updated on all the Forest Grove developments on the city's website.
