How A Quad Cities Band Can Get A Free Music Video Produced By Augustana College
You and your band wrote the best song. Then you spent all your money to get it produced. Now you want a music video to go with it. But the funds have run dry. Well here is a way you can get a music video for free while an Augustana College student gets an "A" to graduate.
The Fresh Films Music Video Project
Fresh Films is looking to team up local musicians and bands with Augustana College students to produce your music video. The students won't be telling you how to shoot your video. You and your band will collaborate with the team of student filmmakers to create, produce and market the video.
Augustana College students who are taking the course "From Song to Screen" are studying music video production. Now, they are ready to make a video for your band.
But what will the video look like?
When you see the word free and college students doing it you might be thinking you'll be getting something that won't match the excellence of your song. You'd be wrong. You can see the work they did here back in 2019.
- Rude Punch
- The Avey Grouws Ban
- Condor & Jaybird
- Brooke Byam & the Daymakers
- The Mamiltons
Now you can add your name to that list at no cost to the band. The only cost for you will be the gas to get your crew there as videos are ideally shot in Rock Island on the Augustana campus or in the Quad Cities area.
To get in the running for a fall video shoot applications must be submitted by September 22. But if you miss that deadline, no worries. They shoot more in the winter. Just be ready for an indoor video. Or to be cold af.
Get your band in the mix. Fill out the form and see what you can create together!
