Baseball!  Oh how we've missed you in the Quad Cities.  And while the field may be covered in a couple feet of snow, it will melt before you know it and the River Bandits will be taking the field.

The 2021 season will look different for many reasons on and off the field as the River Bandits play their first season as affiliates of the Kansas City Royals.

The season will open on the road May 4 against the South Bend Cubs. The River Bandits home opener will be May 11 against the Cedar Rapids Kernels.  The team is slated to play a 120-game schedule, with 60 games at home and 60 on the road.

“We’re so excited to announce our 2021 schedule and bring professional affiliated baseball back to
the Quad Cities,” said Bandits owner Dave Heller. “Now that we’ve moved up a level, this will be
the highest quality baseball ever played in the Quad Cities and we’ll be doing it as an affiliate of
the Kansas City Royals, who are widely recognized as having one of the top farm systems in all of
baseball. It will have been 20 months since our last game and it’s way past time for River Bandits
baseball. I can’t wait to welcome everyone back to Modern Woodmen Park for the first pitch.”
